ABOUT

Hi, I'm Hannah! And welcome to Happy Tails with Hannah

I'm the face behind Happy Tails with Hannah. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by pets and now share my home with my much‑loved miniature schnauzer, who inspired the silhouette in my logo.

I also have six chickens, my cat called Simba, and a freshwater tropical fish tank.

From an early age, I knew I wanted to work with animals. I spent weekends volunteering at a veterinary clinic from the age of 14, gaining hands‑on experience with everything from basic health checks to preparing medication. In 2017, I completed work experience at London Zoo, where I learned about animal enrichment, welfare, and the importance of understanding behaviour. I’ve also spent time volunteering at an equine veterinary centre, further building my skills caring for animals of all shapes and sizes.

Over the years, I’ve been the go‑to dog sitter for friends and family, regularly caring for breeds ranging from a gentle Cane Corso to a lively Border Collie‑Whippet cross. Those experiences – combined with my academic background in psychology – gave me a deep appreciation for how individual every animal is, and how much trust is involved when someone leaves their pets in your care.

After working in other roles, including as a dental receptionist, I realised my heart has always been with animals. Happy Tails with Hannah was born from that passion – a way to combine my lifelong love of animals, my hands‑on experience, and my desire to provide a truly personal, caring service for pets and their owners.

I believe that every pet deserves to be understood, loved, and well cared for – and that’s the heart of everything I do.
